Download Option

Not sure if anyone else has said this, or maybe its possible and I have not found it yet.

But I would like to sell some software some trail and some full so if a customer wants the trial version it would take them to a page to download and show £0.00 cost.

Can Shopping Cart Creator Handle Downloadable Products?
Article ID: 565 | Published On: Dec 5, 2008 | 2,808 views | Rated 4 stars by 5 people

Shopping Cart Creator is equipped to handle downloadable products in the same way it handles physical products. This gives you, the shop owner, the most control over your inventory. Please note that the delivery process is not automatic — see Step 3 for information about how to handle delivery.

1. Set up your products within the software.
2. When a customer places an order, you will receive an e-mail notification with the order details.
3. Respond to the customer with a download location for the product. We recommend using secure services such as YouSendIt or SendThisFile.
I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.

Tassie
The only thing is that Styling wants to add a null cost. I think you will find that a null cost article will not be published, so you might need to add a link or something similar within the other pages of the store.

Yes I think maybe just a link, perhaps on the product page to the trial version might work for that bit. Really simple to do.

Hi
may i suggest to put a button on each article, a button for direct download the trial and the full versions maintain the price.
see my shopping articles with a button to call a form for reservation
http://www.art-i-batik.com/shopping/vie … oductid=44

you can see i maintain the button "add to cart" and added a 2nd button for the reservation, you can use it for download the file.

Thanks for the help guys, Jimmy you are right im just a bit lazy was hoping to be able to just add products and upload not create buttons, pages and links every time I wanted to add a product. I’m going to be representing a lot of different people and a lot of products so need things to run smooth.

Thanks Again.
