Google wants a https.....for the callback to work correctly - does the SSL need to be set up at the store level.....

Hi Redpen. I haven't implemented Google yet, so can't give you specific advice. I did find the following information on it though.

- the callback url is where Google will send data to (order details, payments, refunds, etc.)
- it requires SSL and basic authentication

So if you don't have an SSL certificate on your site, and haven't configured basic authentication, then chances are that it either doesn't have one, or that you haven't configured it yet (or properly).

Cart Creator has no facility for data capture, so in theory it shouldn't need SSL. Many of the showcase shops on this forum have google installed, but are operating on non SSL sites? That may indicate a problem with how your google account preferences are set up?

Like many other folks thinking of adding Google in addition to PayPal, I too would be interested in the answer to this one.
