Have two computers - trying to work...
I have two computers. I have done the bulk of the work on my store on my main computer and want to be able to work on it on my laptop. I have the software installed on both machines.
I tried "export shop for upload" and copied that to a memory stick but when I attempt to "open shop" with those files on my laptop I hit a wall.
Any suggestions?

That function only generates the files to run your shop on your Website. The files you should be copying is the one that ends in .SCC and there will also be a corresponding folder with the same name.

OK - should have figured out that I had to copy over the folders. Thought that export feature would make it portable. Thanks!
I would "Suggest" that you keep the tree looking the same on both computers too. I doubt that it would be a necessity, but it would help to keep things orderly while you are working between them.

Have you considered storing your files in Dropbox? You install it on both computers and it keeps both computers files in sync. So if you make a change to the files on one computer, put them in your dropbox, then go home, the files will automatically sync so they are the same. Go to dropbox.com for more info. The free account gives you like 2 gigabyte of storage. It's what I use. I have a laptop, a desktop, a work computer, and a school computer. It helps me make sure I'm always working on the most recent version of the files.

^Nice Thanks. So I want to start saving & auto saving my .scc to my dropbox folder? In other words, will autosave location be the same as my new "save as" location, the dropbox folder?

When you click "Save As" you can select the file in the Dropbox folder. From there on if you click "Save" it will be saving to that same file in that folder.
