How do I incorporate free shipping...

I want to use the weight based shipping so that when people add several items, I can charge them accordingly for shipping. However, I have one item--an awareness ribbon--that I want to ship for free. How do I incorporate that into the equation?

Put zero for the weight maybe?

Apply a discount equal to the price you would charge.
