Can you explain/ walk me through the adding the code to the above file. I'm wary to change things in case it messes up the whole shop / file!

I've uploaded my favicon.ico to both domain.com/favicon.ico and to domain.com/shop/favicon.ico.

When you say add to the common file, this I've located, saved and opened up in CC HTML editor (i'm not that experienced with it and still learning the product) but I'm not sure where to actually put the code, I know it has to be somewhere in between <head> and </head> tags: does that mean I can add it exactly after the first <head> I see?

If that is so, then I go on and save this and upload and overwrite the existing common.inc.php file?

My main/front page I made in visual designer, so I've got to look there where to add the code - this I think I know though.

It's all very daunting.

Vicky, I like your site, nice colours, menu bar and with which template you made site?

Thanks and would appreciate help.

I took the risk and yes it worked. Vicky, so grateful you posted the file location where to put the code.

Infact, now the favicon is not showing as I've changed to a different one and sometimes it takes a couple of days to show up. LOL

Makes me feel more confident delving into HTML Editor as well.

Have a great weekend.
