Hi Monica and Dave, I was discussing HTML Editor themes not Shopping Cart Themes....so this thread is now in the wrong forum.

At least I'm not going mad. I thought I had posted it in the correct forum and when I went back to check for replies it had disappeared.

This is the theme pack I mean:
https://www.coffeecup.com/store/themes/html-editor/bundle/shopping-cart-default-html-editor-theme-pack/
I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.

Hi Tassietiger
CC moved the thread thinking your problem was shopping cart theme.
However back to my original post.
One of the themes in the bundle is punk 80's and I can open it up in the html editor.
So download the bundle unzip it.
In the path C:\Program Files\CoffeeCup Software\Themes\ .
you should see your theme folders
take the punk 80's for example inthe folder there will be the following sub folders
80s punk topright nav (the html)
css
js
images
IF you double click on the html folder you will see the html files for the theme and be able to view/edit them.
Is that what you want to do or are you encountering problems after the download/unzip?
LEt me know if still having problems and at what point

Hi Tassie
think i have solved it
If you look at path program files- cc software -themes
thereare 2 folders 2009 themes amd my themes
If you un zip one of your themes into folder my themes
then preview folders in my themes and you can see the theme you just unzipped and preview it
PS make sure you close the html editor when you unzip your theme.
Give it a go

I'm trying to install new themes and I've followed the instructions in the article on how to do it and when I go to open the new themes I don't get any preview.

Answer: I have not tried this, but I think it will work. You need to use your favorite screen capture method to capture what you want to preview and make it a .png file that is 461 X 360 pixels and name it "preview.png" and place it it the same folder the theme is in.

Yeah, I believe there was a period in there when CC forgot to add the preview images to the themes, but I was under the impression that this was already adjusted in the theme files, is that not the case Charles?

That just means the themes are not up to date. You probably installed a newer version of SCC or SCD. Any themes that do not come with the software, you just need to download the latest versions of those themes and then the preview will appear. If it is your own theme you made, then you just need to resave it in Designer.

Yes the issue was that the previews had been omitted from that update. This thread started Feb 2010 so is 19 months old...hence a zombie thread.....not sure why it was resurrected.

But thank you to those who tried to help :-)

I must have felt my ears burning as I don't come by here much lately but did today and wondered why my name was showing
