Is it possible to work independently on two shopping carts and then merge that data later? Can the data be copied/pasted?
We would be working from two separate locations and want to merge our work when complete.

How about doing the opposite (MIGHT SOUND DAFT)
Put all the data for both carts into one cart
Do save as TWICE creating two separate carts with identical data stock images etc.
Then go back and un publish OR delete all the products you don't need in each shop
And make sure you have selected open new empty shop every time you open SCC before editing
