Is there a way to configure either a multi-piece discount or "buy two, get free freight" program with SCC?

Not as you are asking. They allow discounts for items individual, but not under the terms buy two or three.

The best way to hand this would probably create a specials category and then create product items as a package deal.

Example: one product might be 2 Sweatshirts for $10 off. Or 2 shirts for $15 and shipping free

Then in your definitions for that product item you can adjust the shipping or product price.

Does that make sense?

It be great if they had an easy multi-piece discount But that would be a work around.

Bad news, Highcountry. My understanding is the new SCC Pro won't do what you're asking for, either. It may be something in a future release but that could be a year or more away.
