Payment options & delivery with SCC -...

I do not know if this thread has been dealt with before. I am wondering if anyone has compared the different payment companies used with SCC for charges to vendor.

I am wondering also how other vendors deal with shipping small items overseas via small parcel (no tracking number). It seems that a fair bit of customer "never" receive their parcels and always get Paypal to force vendor for a refund. It is just not practical to use UPS or Fedex and pay $60 + for an item that only cost $20. Any thoughts?

It really depends on your situation. I think many/most use PayPal and/or Google. Also, the way the different vendors process CC's are different, so check into those as well. I find PayPal easiest to deal with.

Thank you. I am already using paypal. I was wondering if anyone had found a more reasonable bunch of people to deal with than this company. When I sell on ebay using the paypal (you have to!), it is costing me 15% (plus galery fees, store fees etc.) of commission between ebay and paypal. I find that a wee bit expensive.

All the payment services like PayPal, Google Checkout, and 2Checkout have a higher percentage than merchant gateways like Authorize.net. Even though the percentage is higher, you don't have the fees associated with payment gateways and merchant accounts. So you are paying one way or another. It all depends on the volume of sales that determines which method benefits you most. Low volume sales benefit from PayPal and higher volume sales benefit from Authorize.net.
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!
