Do I need to create a paypal button for every item offered in my shopping cart (created with SCC)? If so, where do I paste the HTML code for each button? I'm using a Paypal standard account. Does Paypal add the shipping and taxes through setup for each button, or will SCC add on the shipping and taxes before the customer checks out?

Hiya David,

You don't need to do anything with paypal at all other than have an account and be sure to setup the Standard version of the Website Payments for paypal. Other than that the entire cart process is made in the program.

You need to setup your shipping inside the program, nothing with the cart creator as far as the shopping cart itself is connected to Paypal except the end process for checking out. All the rest is needed to be setup by you such as taxes and shipping and putting in each of your products etc. The program does not have access to your paypal accounts information for any products and shipping and taxes etc. that you may have setup there, it only connects for the checkout process.

Thanks. I tested out my shopping cart and everything looks OK. The estimated taxes were not added. Do I need to publish this site for the tax to be added. So far, I've only been looking at my shop with the preview shop button.

I think I figured out the tax issue on my own. Not exactly sure how I fixed it -- yet.
