Have you checked your spam box on your email server to make sure it's not being filtered by your email account? That's about the only thing left that I can think of. A very strange issue you have here Graeme, and you're definitely the only one that has this issue. Yes there have been people that have had it happen, but so far all of them have fixed it pretty quickly, I don't know of another single person that has this issue and that has not resolved it.... I just know it's something simple, and I don't think it's the "fault" of anyone or anything. I have to agree with Scott though, there really is nothing to do to setup the email sending, there's no controls in the program, it truly is all done by PayPal, so he's totally right to say that it's something on their end, or maybe you should try reinstalling the program, maybe something didn't quite install correctly?

Check your spam box(es) both server wide and email software if you use anything like Outlook or Windows Live etc, and then if that isn't the issue, try uninstalling and reinstalling the program and see if that works.

I don't think there is anything we can do on our side as there is no setting in the software for email. That is controlled by PayPal. If you look at these forums, you will also notice that no one else is reporting anything even close to this. If this was a bug in the software, there would be users screaming about it. ;)

One of the new features in SCC Pro is transaction logging. This could be a possible solution for you.

Hi Scott is there any possibility in future updates to add a customers name to the transaction logging.
It does mean the customer has to enter their name on say the view cart page.
This would be a very useful feature to generate some customer sales statistics from the transction logging.

It takes a little more than that to be considered PCI compliant. Ya got to be probed and prodded first.

From a shop owner's perspective, it is best to let all the data storage occur on the payment processors site, as that will be far more secure than us mere mortals could ever hope to achieve on shared hosting packages. If there are any financial irregularities, or problems with misuse of data, the onus then lies wholly with the payment processor.

Storing any data on a flat database file would be a hackers dream, which is why it would never be a good idea for Cart Creator to go down that route, unless you really wanted to annoy all your past customers.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
