How do I add a product number so when it sells i can identify the item sold.

The basic version doesn't support SKU's or Item Numbers. Until the Pro version becomes available you can include the Item Number as part of the Item Name.

That is something that will (I believe) be handled by SCC PRO at some point. Not sure if it is going to be in the first release or not. I do know that it was one of the top requested features, and as such, stands a good chance.

Sam, if you use paypal,you can add a product number (I believe) after an item is sold in your account options so that you can keep track of your sales. However, if you wait just a little longer the new cart program will have SKU options.

Thanks mate, I'll wait for the SKU. I do have merchant services with paypal, so its tha same button for all.
One drama I am having is the product does not delete from my site once its sold, I have to do a manual update and delete it so someone does not buy the same item again.

Paypal won't show the item number of the product unless it's sent from SCC which doesn't handle the item numbers yet. You need to add those numbers or id's to your Item Short Description and they will show up on the Paypal info when you get the order.

You don't have to delete is just select unpublish on the item. That way if you get the item back in stock you can unselect it and you don't have to type in all the details again.
