Hiya JaneA,
Are you doing this in Shopping Cart "Creator" or "Designer"?
To change anything to do with the design of the program has to be done in the Designer program. I believe the logo is in the Header area towards the bottom of the list of settings for the Header Properties. Not to be confused with the setting towards the top that I always thought the logo should go in lol. Check to see what area you're entering your logo image info and let us know. If you have a screenshot of your setting for your header that would help also.

Hi Jo Anne,
I think there must have been an easier way in earlier versions of shopping cart, to switch the logo off. As I have done it before without designer program.
Its just I can't remember how the heck I did it.
thanks for your reply

Jane,
Unless I have completely misunderstood, changing the default logo of the theme in SCC is done via the Your Shop tab, then General settings. You generally have to stay within CoffeeCup's predefined size for it to look OK. If you want something more than the size built in then Shopping Cart Designer is needed to effect the changes to the theme.
Just tried it again and it is still working in latest copy of SCC that I have.

Hi Tom,
You are quite right, it is easy to change the logo, however in my case I wanted to remove it completely.
I have found a work around for now, I have just created a logo with the same background colour of the banner, and it looks like no logo is there.
A small cheat, but a work around, never the less.
Thanks for your input.

Jane,
Yep, I see now that I DID misread what you were after. That work around does do the job, but not as neatly as removing as you want. Other than with the designer I don't know of another way.

Thats fine Tom,
My customer wouldn't be happy paying for designer just for a logo removal, and he appears happy witht the work a round.
Although I am sure in previous versions of Shopping Cart we did have the option to remove logo.
No harm done though, problem resolved thanks for input.

Jane, the workaround you've implemented is one way. You could also create a 1x1 transparent gif for the logo. Alternatively, you can edit the CSS properties and use "display: none;" to hide the logo.
Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
