Can I use this software to make a reservation request for my inventory instead of a purchase. I would like the customer to put there order together, but then notify me a what they want. I am a party rental business and I need to check my inventory before they can make a purchase.

At this time the SCC doesn't have this feature, but a future version of the SCC Pro is supposed to have the feature to do offline purchasing. I'm not quite sure how it will be setup yet, but I would imagine it should work for what you're needing Stay tuned for that program, it's still in the Beta stage yet, and I'm not sure if that feature will make it into the initial release, but they have said it should be in a future one at some point.

Having said that, you could setup your site forms using CC Form Builder that would most likely do exactly what you're needing, then when the SCC Pro comes out it should have better functions for your needs.
The form builder is pretty slick, and pretty powerful and should give you all the features you need for people to request your products.
