Shipping multiple items in one box...
I can ship 1-3 items in one box. How do I setup my shopping cart to charge shipping on every 4th item?
1 item shipping $60.00
2 item shipping $60.00
3 item shipping $60.00
4 item shipping $120.00
5 item shipping $120.00
etc.
Thank you,
Paul

Hiya Paul,
Currently there is no way to do what you're asking, sorry. I don't know if the Pro version of the Shopping Cart software will have extended shipping options like this or not, we haven't been given any details yet on how the shipping part will work, but it does sound like a very good idea to add to the cart system if it isn't already planned.

Yeah... that's HUGE....
I didn't review the shipping aspects prior to purchasing....

I'm having problems with this also. I just want to charge one shipping amount to an entire order whether it contains 1 item or 10 items.
Hmmm, maybe I'll just have to include shipping cost in the price of the product. I'm going to try that, I'm guessing it will work and then I will not put in any separate shipping cost.

Hi Wendy. If I am understanding you right, what you are seeking can already be achieved in Cart Creator. Leave the individual shipping in the item descriptions blank and just set up a fixed charge in the shipping module.
Hi Will,
I see different ways to apply shipping to a "product", but no way to apply shipping to the "order".
I set up a default amount, tried it out and it adds the default amount to each "product" in my shopping cart.
Thanks for your reply,
Wendy

You are probably selecting 'add this amount for each item in the cart' then Wendy.
Change it in the shipping dropdown to 'add this amount to the shipping total' and it should work ok for you.

Thank you so much, after playing with it a bit I was able to get it to do exactly what I wanted.
I put zero amounts in the default shipping method and then added my shipping method to the optional methods, "add this amount to the shipping total", but then I also had to check the box that says "require customer to select a shipping option", otherwise it gave 2 shipping options, the one I want and the default, which was zero.
The way I have it now it shows one shipping amount for the entire order no matter how many items are in the cart.
I hope that all makes some sense to you!!!
Thank you again!!!!

You are most welcome Wendy. Glad to help out.
