Shop is dead - Post ID 133819
Hello,
I have had this shop up and working for months. I went to make a change to it and later got a call from a customer that said my shop was not working. I have tried re-uploading it a bunch of times and have had no luck. I can't get the preview to work properly either. What should I do?

I would suggest one of 2 things, maybe both. First the best thing to do here would probably be to open a support ticket with CC and get some tech help from them.
If you want to try something to see if it works, I would suggest first removing the shop from your site (rename the directory if you want to try it that way first), and then reupload it fully from scratch. I realize this will take a while as it will have to reupload every image etc. but sometimes that's all it takes to fix an issue.
I would open a ticket though before even trying that as the tech team may know exactly what is causing that error message and know what to tell you to fix it

Hi Cain, looking at your site, your server is all correctly set up. The error message that is showing on your home page is stating that it cannot find the include file (inc) to be able to load up your shop. That means you have either inadvertently deleted it, it has got corrupted during upload, or it is in the wrong location to be found.
Log into your cpanel if on Linux, go to the file manager and browse the files. See if the missing file is there. If not you can simply upload the missing file via a ftp program. If that fails to resolve it, then as Jo Ann suggests you'll need to re upload your entire shop again.

I tried to upload it to www.domesticvapor.com/new
But it is still messed up
I just opened a ticket.
OMG I pray they can help me fix this, I had over 900 items and if I have to start over, I am going to just die

Cain-
When I tried to go to your site I received this error message:
Warning: include(/home/content/d/o/m/domesticvapor/html/new/ccdata/data/index.inc.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/d/o/m/domesticvapor/html/new/index.php on line 26
Sometimes when things get really screwed up and all else fails, I've found that if you use an FTP program to log on to your server and delete ALL the files/folders the program created and uploaded for you can kill the mysterious gremlins that have crept in during your uploading. Then, with the slate clean on the server, use the CC program (cart) to re-load the whole thing again. A pain, yes, but usually faster in the long run than trying to track down a subtly corrupted file caused by sun spots or whatever.

I agree. It is often much easier and faster in the long run to delete everything on the server and re-upload, than try to track down something that is wrong on the server.
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!
By the error I would agree that it would be good to use a ftp and completely clean out the shop directory. Then do publish again. So that everything forces everything to reload.
Best wishes that your website reload goes smoothly.
Something that CC needs to add is the option to upload changes or upload the entire site. Sometimes I wonder if people stop an upload process because of what ever reason, that the syncing somehow gets messed up. If they had the option to upload the entire site without syncing, that some of these things might clear up.

I had this same problem. A message like the above one on our site.
I had deleted one product from the store and uploaded like I had done many times in the past. This time I got an error message that upload failed due to problem with deleting images and to try again. I tried again. Checked my shop online and got the message similar to the above. Put in support ticket.
Then I just tried to upload again and it all went through. I changed nothing! This is the 2nd time this has happened so I assume something is hiccuping when I upload after deleting an item.
Anyway all is well

On one store we were having the same type of problem on occasion. Our server host suggested sFTP connection protocol. We changed and the connection appears to be more stable for us. Anyway we haven't had the problem since (about seven months now).
Just a thought to try when it appears file uploads may be a problem.
