I have downloaded and installed 3.6 and get the following error when I launch it -
Error: Could not initialize and instance of the core application. If this problem persists, contact Coffeecup Support..
I have Windows XP Home Edition SP 3.
I previously had 3.5 which I purchased less than a month ago.

Please assist.

Sounds like a bad install to me. I would suggest uninstalling the software first. Then go to our Website and re-download version 3.6 and run the installer again. This should correct the issue.

For good measure also throw a pinch of salt over your right shoulder and knock on your desk 3 times ;)

Sorry Scott - I uninstalled SSC thru Add/Remove Software Control panel, reinistalled from a fresh download and the issue occurred again.

Sounds still like a bad install, firewall or anti-virus related issues. I would suggest checking all those settings to make sure there are no conflicts. If all that looks good and you still have problems, open a support ticket and we can see if we can get to the bottom of this.

I have SCC but need the pro version. Will the Shopping Cart designer work with the pro version, as well as with the regular version?

Yes, it will work with the Pro version. I had asked the same question.

thanks Brian, I'd missed seeing that. I'm very much looking forward to the release of both. SCC is a nice program, but need the extras.
