Ok a quick look
The frameworkless one Kerning College is fairly simple as far as layout is concerned but with it being 'frameworkless' it has quite a bit of custom code involved, which in the end in my opinion would be qiucker and easier to replicate within Foundation from scratch, and also doing it that way of course (with a little bit of help wehenever necessary) would help you learn and gain more on how to use Site Designer and telling it what you want it to do for you.
The Kobe foundation one is as you mentioned already foundation framework (I don't have that template and it's a paid one so not goimg to download it, but looking at the live preview, it seems pretty straightforwards and should be pretty easy to adapt, however sometimes readymade templates still require some in depth knowledge of using site designer (for instance some elements may need adjusting to your content, requirements, which is possible but may also need some help and assistance to get them adjusted
So either way, I would have to say,
1/ Kerning colledge,, not really suitable for converting to foundation, because it would be easier and quicker to build that from scratch in foundation (with a little bit of help) but also fairly easy to adapt and keep it as a frameworkless project
2/ Kobe, ready made for foundation should be easier to adapt to your idea, BUT would still possible require some help) which may in the end also be better to replicate from scratch.
So it's really either or (personally I would do it from scratch, but then I have some knowledge and experience using Site Designer.)
You will of course get plenty of help and assistance from users here on this forum.
