I have RSD installed currently installed on me computer and want to install SD, too. Can they run together or will SD override RSD?

Why would you want an old version RSD installed?

Because I want to be able to do site updates on the older one until I get the hang of the other one.

Check where the old RSD is installed. I don't remember when they started installing the CC software into the roaming folder. But if it is there, you could try to install the new one into program files. I cannot guarantee that it will work, but if it doesn't, you just remove them again and install the one you want to use.

BTW, it is not very difficult to change to a newer version. You could perhaps save a copy of your projects to be used with the old RSD if you get lost with SD.

You can run one app in your op system and another in a virtual machine. Switch back and forth between the two and should be able to share files between them. Each would have their own cpu and memory and be running at the same time and in the same computer but the computer would consider them to be stand alone. Usually this would run like windows in one and Linux in the other but you could probably run two separate windows simultaneously. With them in their own virtual world would not have the conflicts of trying to run two versions in the same environment at the same time.
