Perhaps I'm missing something but editing text seems difficult to activate. I have to click multiple times to get into edit mode. If I right click on a text element and choose Edit Text, nothing happens. (Surface Pro 3/Windows 8.1).

Triple click to edit, same as it is in RLMP. And yes it seems that right click>Edit Text (Ctrl+T) does not work yet.

Hi their,

I have to join Roy and ChefScott, since I also having trouble with selecting and editing text. Since I am newbie to both RLM and RSD it is easy to compare and to me their is a difference in handling. In RSD I find the selecting and editing process slow and most times I do not succed :-(.

It is ok with me since RSD is in beta mode, as long as it is corrected and I am certain it will :-).

same with me...I also had this issue on rlmp...sometimes it is worse than others...clicking, triple clicking, etc. sometimes do not work when editing text. I thought it was just me, but seems others experience similar issues.

Also...sometimes when selecting a different font, I sometimes get the box to allow me to type the font name in and sometimes I do not??

I am running as admin, too, btw.

I think I get it now. If you are in the Layout, Element, Settings or Inspector tab Ctrl+T (right click>Edit Text) will place you in the Design tab for that selected textual based element and not directly into Text Edit mode (which is what RLMP does).
Am I correct in my thinking on how it works in RSD?

I had to ask support about the triple click, in RLMP I just used the text field :D
How many PC programs use a triple click??

LOL

At least 1 that I know of. ;)

That is only one way though Brett. You can also right-click, click the pencil icon or use the keyboard shortcut. Why not complain about those ways too? :)

Fixed in build 680: right click Edit Text and Ctrl+T now work on Win8.1. Well done!
