Hello All,

Utilizing a template in Site Designer and the Contact page has an email form.

Where can I get specific guidance on the data that needs to make the form work?
Specifically, the Form, Value, Action, Method fields that appear for the properties of the 'SUBMIT' button

Thank you,

WJS

Perhaps the article at https://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles … m-builder/ may help.

This is helpful IF I want to purchase form builder, but I am really hoping to get some guidance (direct answers) on what data goes into the form attributes or element properties on a Contact form page.

If the form in question is not too complex, you may perhaps want to use one of the forms I have in my component repository. See the 2nd URL in my signature and choose your framework. They come with a PHP back-end script.

Inger,

I have attempted to use the form you suggested. I made the change on Line 3 as advised and set a URL path for the response on line 77.

Uploaded the form to my server
set the path in the HTML script to where the contact2.php form is located on my server,
form is visible on my website, however when filled out and hit SEND, the redirect occurs for line 77 action, but no email is ever received.

I have tried a gmail, a hotmail, and a yahoo email address in case it was flagged. Still no email received.
any other suggestions or guidance you might provide? Something I may be overlooking?

Which framework did you choose? I'll test it.

I have uploaded the form (BareBone) to one of my servers and have the same problem. I see there is an error log in the uploaded PHP folder. I have to find out what causes that.
Then I tried to upload the form to a different server, and this time it worked fine.

I wonder if there are changes made to some of the servers 'out there'... I'll work on it and keep you posted.

William, just a question: When you tried the BareBone form and found that it didn't send mails, did you test it by sending a form message to yourself or to someone else?
If you sent it to yourself, you should have got a mail telling you that someone had submitted the form, and also one that goes to the one filling in the form as a confirmation. If you haven't already, please check your spam folder if the mails have ended up there.
After having contacted my web host who made some changes to the setup of the domain, I now get the mail to the domain owner (the address on line 3) coming into the spam. Still working on it...
