Foundation, Bootstrap, Materialize oh...

Total noob here. I do not code at all. But I am trying to learn!
Building a new website but in no particular hurray. Just trying to learn Site Designer.
So, been working on trying to find a menu/nav bar I like. I notice there are different ones available for the different template types. So, obvious question from a noob ... what's the difference? Just the backend coding or is it something more sinister? Why should I use Frameworkless over Bootstrap, or Bootstrap over Materialize? As long as I can get the components I want to work in whichever I choose. Is there a best, better, awesome lineup?
Thanks ahead of time for any help.

I prefer the awesome foundation 6 framework,, its so versatile and creating things like menus easy peasy (there are a whole load of them available as components), easily styled and adapted to your needs,, there are others who prefer other frameworks, but for me and al the people I help and have helped, its FOUNDATION all the way.

By the way
Why are you worrying about the code back end or front end Site Designer takes care of all that for you,, all you have to do is tell it what you want it to do for you (which is a visual thing), and BOOM it does it.

If you want a Hero Mega Menu I can show you how to create an awesome one in Foundation, or even how to re-style one of the ready-made ones

Just get in touch.

Wayan, thank you for responding. I've always kind of been a self-taught kinda person but I will ask for help when stuck. I wasn't 'worried' about the backend code, I just don't know any deep code so I was wondering which option was best since several were presented.

You answered that with Foundation 6. But now I have another question just to make sure we're on the same page. My Site Designer shows Foundation, Foundation 4 and Foundation 3.

Is 'Foundation' suppose to be Foundation 6? If so, why doesn't it say that? If not, how do I get Foundation 6?

I'll work on the menu for another few days. I keep getting interupted with life. Then I may come to you for some help. I admit, I'm a little overwhelmed with all the option available in Site Designer. Sorry to say I'm kind of 'click - boom- live with it'.

Site Designer is more like 'click - boom - tweak, tweak, tweak some more till it's perfect'. Takes some getting used to.

But back to my real question. Is 'Foundation, Foundation 6 in Site Designer? Or did I miss something . . .

There is only one foundation framework available with Site Designer and that happens to be the"ZURB' foundation 6 module that CC use for the framework "Foundation'

I just don't know any deep code

You done need to know any code,, deep/shallow, or anything

Hi Sad Duck, don't be sad!

Bootstrap was the first of the frameworks that I got acquainted with, then Foundation. Later I have gone over to 'Frameworkless', but since you don't want to do any coding, or at least as little as possible, I recommend that you stay with one of the two other ones. Why? Well, they both have ready-made attributes, in 'Frame...less' you'll have to write them yourself (no rocket science, though).
Of the two, Bootstrap and Foundation, I think Foundation has the larger congregation, and if you go for that, you'll have Wayan on your side, and he is a very valuable helper.
When scouting for components, you may perhaps find something useful in my 'Component Shop' check the second URL in my signatuere.
Ha en riktig god dag!

Inger, thanks! Actually Frank pointed me to your site yesterday or the day before. I've downloaded quite a bit already. Some I've looked at, some I won't get to till farther along. But I grabbed it anyway. Much appreciated.

I'm leaning towards Foundation. I was confused earlier with the Bootstrap 4 and 3. Got confused with Foundation. But I'll get it. I thought I had some time to work on this, but Murphy's Law you know. Got a neice that had a drippy faucet. No, broken pipe. In a wall. Behind 6 inches of concrete. Yep. Well built house from the 40's. Gonna be a long 4 days coming up.

But I'm not gonna lose my pep! I'm excited to learn this stuff. No matter how long it takes! ( Famous last words ...)

Wayan, I'm sold. I love the look of that menu. Unfortunately, it's probably gonna be next Monday before I can get back to you on that. A little plumbing problem has come up and my time is gonna be short. Thanks for your help though, and the video.
