quick question about editing components- once I make edits to the component and save them, will it automatically apply to all of the places that I have placed the components previously? or would i have to go in and add the component to that space again?

It will apply to all components with the same class name at the breakpoint you did the edit. Depending on which framework you either need start at the lowest breakpoint and work up, or if you used frameworkless desktop down then you start editing at the highest breakpoint and work down.
If there are components with the same class name on different pages it should change those too, but you should just check incase.
All that depends on if I have understood the question correctly

I should have mentioned that if the component is text (headers,paragraph etc )then the styling will apply to all with the same class name, but not if you change the words. If you wish to change images then that's easiest dome in resources by adding a new image with the same name as the old one it's replacing, even if they are different sizes aspect ratio etc, that then would entail a double check on the parent container styling just in case that needs restyling appropriately
