OK - so i purchased RSD after reading much of the hype and not knowing anything about responsive web design. I have just completed my first site, and whilst i have a way to go to get the hang of this new style of web design, i am quite proud of my first go - especially since i brought in elements such as forms, PayPal shopping and image carousel.

Still doing the final polishing of this site and want to enter keywords etc as well as some seo (for which i am open to suggestions?) I invite you to have a look and offer your feedback.

Hi Tony

Sorry to say this but your site needs a lot more work at the lower end of the device sizes your menu for instance loses some of the text, doesn't wrap etc, the location map isn't responsive and goes completely off the edge of the viewport.and so does your footer with some of the other info in there It all starts to go wrong around the 460px up to the 1024px mark, other than that looks ok from there up otherwise looks ok for desktop devices

I have put a short video onto dropbox showing what the site looks like on Google chrome at different viewport sizes. I have also checked it out on Opera/Firefox and Microsoft edge,,, all the same
it's a wmf file so if you are on an apple not much use

Looks good on desktop as you said you're still tweaking. Here is a site that will assist in your embedding. I found it here in these forums.

A maybe long and winding workaround would be first to set your server to parse php in html files, and then use php includes for contents that appears on every page, typically header, navigation and footer. Those elements (header, navigation and footer) can be built in RSD , but after export they need to have the file extension changed from html to php.

I frequently use php includes when relevant, most commonly for footer, the last row and asides. Anything that will remain unchanged on multiple pages with-in a site.

I am intrigued by this talk of 400 page sites in RSD or indeed any other CoffeeCup software with its page limit. I am more intrigued as to how things like menus are repeated on 400 pages without having to update every page whenever a menu item needs changing. I understand this is easy in Foundation Framer but is not at all easy in RSD. I have a 250 odd page site to convert. What workarounds are people using for sizeable sites rather than the 'handful of page' sites I see being built by nearly everyone?

I use php includes. I like that RSD gives me a html versionall of my production pages are ,php. I leave the <nav>menu</nav> when I am ready to publish I convert to .php in my html editor and ad the include

<nav class="navcontainer"><?php include("menu.html"); ?></nav> one file to edit no matter how many pages it's in. One must ensure the <header> code for the menu is in place in each page it should display in and menu, html contains nothing but the menu code itself. If I really mess things up I have a pristine .html file to fall back on.
