Hi, everyone:
In Site Designer (the latest before the current version), I am trying to work with images, Image sizes. and resolution across breakpoints.
I am working with Hacksaw template - going from large screen size to a small screen responsive site as I build and view the evolving product. I lose images when I cross certain breakpoints as I move from larger to smaller scren size. Do I reduce the physical size of the image or it’s resolution. When I try to store more images at the local, storage, l lose the previous one already stored.

To be able to help, I would need access to the specific template you are using.
But my guess is, that the images are positioned in some container divs which have dimensions given in px, em, rem or so, and your pictures need to have a width of 100% to fill that container. Then your images will display large on large screens and smaller on smaller screens.

Hi, Inger:
Thanks for your reply and info.
I am using the Hacksaw Template.
I went back to the original template and now see that the original page info and images will only reduce down to the 708 size before dropping the page info and images with the exception of the index page. This template has a larger to smaller focused website construction project format . I like this template but wonder now if getting down to the smallest device screen size for every page other than the index page is going to be too challenging with this template. I am working on setting up an art site for my wife with many images and want the smallest device screen sizes to see the info.

As I said, without seeing the actual template, I wouldn't be able to give you any specific help. I'm a user just like you, and I'm not willing to pay for a template just to give someone some advice about how to use it. The 708 size, is that the width in px? How is it set? On the image, the container div, or in a CSS grid cell? Maybe you can change it.

I'll see if I can get someone from the CC staff to take a look at your problem. Unless some other user who has the same template jumps in here.

Inger:
Thanks for your reply and info, again.
I appreciate your help with this.
I am fairly new to using these forums and don't understand many things about them. I am sorry as I thought you were part of CC staff with the "Senior Advisor" designation.

I did not remember there was an extra cost for Hacksaw as I either got it when it was a giveaway or when it came as part of a Super Pack. I did not remember paying for it separately.

How do I show you the actual template part that you need - a screen shot?

I can transfer funds to you to cover the cost of the template so that you have it to refer to.

Re: " The 708 size, is that the width in px? How is it set? On the image, the container div, or in a CSS grid cell? Maybe you can change it." That (708) is the number that shows on the slider when images and text disappear as I move the break point slider to the left.

Hi Dan, these titles some of us have don't mean so much really, but mine has to do with the fact that I've been here for a while, since 2005. So, experience is the keyword, I guess.

I'll contact you through the email address you have with CC.
