Swap images? - Post ID 249537

Let’s see if I can confuse this more.
Check out http://icetoe.com/test.html
I put both images on separate rows so you can see what happens when the browser window is squished down to 408px and smaller. The top image gets too small, the bottom one is still readable.
Also example pics, example-1 and example-2

When the image-1 banner is squished down to a smaller monitor size (starting at 408px and getting smaller) the text gets too difficult to read easily. So at breakpoint 408px (and smaller) I want to swap image-2 for image-1. It works fine within the RSD window but not in an actual browser.

Is this a RSD glitch or am I doing something wrong?

On your test-fail.html the image swaps. You have to refresh the page when squeezing your browser window on your pc.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Mike,

I looked at your test page on my phone (GS4) and it looks fine in portrait and landscape.

I don't have the best eyes and do wear glasses but I don't have any issues reading the text on the top image.

I went to the site link and it looks good. Why don't you take out the text at the top of the page and replace it with the smaller graphic. Leave the sub title and graphic to the right. The graphic to the right drops out anyway so that will leave you with the banner and sub title and make a nice looking mobile header. (Just my opinion.)

That may do what you want without trying to switch out images.

Ernie & Eric,
I'm using the graphic because that's what the customer wants. Text would be easier.
Eric is correct, upon browser refresh the image swap does occur, which I didn't realize.
It just seems a little weird that everything dances around and reorganizes itself before my eyes as I make my browser window smaller, and in the program, but that the browser has to be refreshed for the image swap to appear. But Scott didn't ask my advise on the program design, all he pesters me about is the latest scoop on what Justin Bieber and the Kardashians are up to... he never writes; he never calls...

The image swap is done with js where most of your other rearrangements are done with straight css.
