CoffeeCup Portable Apps? - Post ID...

I'm often thrilled with the software available on portableapps.com and would love to see some of the coffeecup software start making it so that we could install the software to a flash drive. I can take my files and programs seamlessly from my laptop to my school computer to the desktop in my office. Does anybody know if CoffeeCup will start something like this? I mean of course we don't mind paying for the software (after all...CoffeeCup is great stuff) but it would be very nice to have it be portable like that. Especially since portable USB hard disk of 500Mb are only running about $100 bucks now. Maybe a suggestion for future development...

:)

Thanks CoffeeCup for making great stuff.

I have not tried with the latest version of the CoffeeCup HTML Editor, but the previous version would install on a flash drive.

Hi
Unless I am not fully understanding your problem.
I have a desktop and 2 dell note books. The desktop is my live PC at home I use one notebook to carry with me when away from my desk top and the other notebook for development work.
I just download the programs (eg html editor, form builder) onto each PC and use a USB drive to copy the latest files and transfer to any of the other PCs.
No problems as long as you remember where your latest files are and do not overwrite your latest version.

Dave,

If you happen to be traveling and just have a flash drive, that is all you need to have all your bookmarks and browser while using PortableApps. You can then insert your drive in a computer at a friend's house and you are ready to go.

The issue is carrying everything you need on a flash drive to edit your sites. I think it is possible, but I have not tested putting the latest HTML editor on a flash drive.

Let me add my vote for an option to install CoffeeCup software on a USB drive. While it's nice that you can install up to 3 copies for your own use, that makes 3 copies to maintain, along with the hassle of unistalling and reinstalling when equipment changes. If you could install the software completely on a USB drive, you could travel with just the drive and be ready to work at any computer.
