How about software that would take any image you want, resize it, optomize it, script it, everythingn to create fav icons on the fly. The software could generate everything needed, the image format, script, html coding, and would either put it in the files you want, or have it so you can copy and paste in the files you need it. Maybe even some basic examples on how to, where to, etc, on your webpage, file uploads, everything. So basic even I could use it. ;)

If this is already included in one of CC software, sorry.
Using: CC html editor 2008, FTP 6.2 and beta 6.6

Actually creating the icon would require image editing software. If you don't already have an application, The Gimp is free. You can use other formats, it doesn't have to be .ico.

As for placing it, it's a simple one-liner so an application for that might be overkill.

Use the version depending on the doctype of the site you're creating.

Heh.

For that matter you can make or edit .ico files with Microsoft paint. ;)

Thanks for the info. I already know how to make favicons and have a couple of image software. I was just thinking it would a nice "little" addition to say CC Editor. That way it can be done on the fly without switching programs and auto add the link and such into the html. It was just a thought.
But thanks everyone.
