I have logged into my downloads to see that you guys have been very busy and almost half of the programs I own have very recent updates. I had no idea they were there and more frustrating is the fact I have no clue as to what the new programs contain in terms of improved features, therefore I do not know where to start, HTML Editor 2010 for example has come in with a whimper where as I recall there was a real who ha about the last version. Free updates are great and what you guys are about and you do that very well, but please let us know what you have done if only for us to prioritize which of the many updates we go for first in terms of key enhancements.

Livechat for example was a pretty good program at the time but as far as I recall you could not tell when some one had logged in to chat to you with out monitoring the software. This program has not been updated for a fair while and now it has, I have no idea if it is just a slight improvement or if you have updated it inline with some of the other latest chat programs.

I hope this is not too much of a rant and by large I am a very happy customer. Communication re updates would be a HUGE plus.

RE: FTP direct.

Just downloaded the latest build which use on Windows 7.

I keep the 'file sort' set so the files are sorted by date and time, thus the 'new files' are on top of the list which are likely to be the ones that need uploaded.

what I miss is a way to mark a range of files for batch uploading. When I used in the past a competitors FTP if you had several files in a row that needed to go, you could swipe the list with
the mouse and highlight several and send them on their way as a batch.

If there is a way to do that with your product, I haven't figured it out.

I use the mouse in combination with the Shift or Ctrl keys to select multiple files for batch transfer.
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!

Ah ha, the secret command that I haven't been able to find. thanks. I had trouble believing there
wasn't a way to do this, but in a couple of months of looking I couldn't find it.

Later: Now if I could actually get that to work.

Robert - it works, it works. I mentioned this some time ago and Scott pointed me in the right direction. So as Tom says... hold your CTRL down and select the files one at a time with your cursor click to highlight the ones you need to upload, Then go to upload and whooooosh. Off they go.

thanks for your more complete instructions. AFter the last post I still couldn't figure it out, as I tried to hold down the magic key and swipe the the list with the mouse., but now that I figured out how, I guess its ok. Meanwhile I'm sitting here steamed because not knowing this I just tried to upload 14 files without the batch process, and of course after 5, the server (I'm hosted by Yahoo) declared I had too many processes and locked me out.

I've never figured out how to get out of the lock out purgatory other than to wait for the server to forget that I was a bad boy which seems to take an hour or two, so while I was waiting, I decided to check here and now I can make it work since I now understand the secret command.

I have no idea why I think I should be able to right click and drag the mouse down the list to highlight ther than the fact that the brand X FTP works taht way and I have been using it for 15 years and that is sort of a Billy boy way of doing things.

Well, queued up a batch, and whoosh it went for the first 9 files. then my hosting service (yahoo) locked me out returning an error message that I had too many concurrent log ins.

Logically I'm suspecting that this FTP creates a new login for every file pushed up and never logs out irrespective of whether you Queue up a batch or frantically push the uploadbutton many times.

Seems to me the batch processor ought to be smarter than that.

You login once and transfer as many files as you wish. Are you logging out properly or are you closing the program without logging out? That could make a difference. And the server might not time out the connection for quite some time so you are left with concurrent connections you are unaware of.

Could it be that Yahoo sets a limit on the amount of uploading you can do in any one session or day even? I know some servers set these limits.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
