I need a good simple program to create banners and headers for websites. I'd like something that starts with some cool templates, offers editing and simple layers. I can use photoshop but I suck at it. Any thoughts?

Have you checked out Web Image Studio at all? Granted it's a little different than working with your typical image editor, but it's pretty slick in that you can edit all the different parts of the .wif images that come with it and there are quite a few packages of graphics you can purchase for the program. You can create your own images within it also. Might want to give the trial version a spin and see what it's like.

Actually Jo I use Visual Site Designer for my Banners and Headers. You can make some spectacular ones with that and then use WIS to go one step further
