Joomla Form Builder Interface - Post...
Coffee Cup's Form Builder has greatly simplified the performance and appearance of forms used on our websites. At this point, I've not been able to develop a means of logging Form Builder submissions into a data base accessible to authorized viewers from the site front end.
On the other hand, the Joomla CMS provides a great means of data base accessibility to authorized viewers, but in my opinion is severely lacking in form building extensions having the flexibility and ease of use of CC. (Including 3rd party commercially developed extensions.)
With a worldwide user base of several million web developers, would think being able to interface CC with J! would be an overnight success.
Thanks for some great software!

I arrived here from a Google search on 'joomla form extensions'.
Already owning a copy of the Coffee cup Super pack. I felt that the 'Web Form Builder' was not up to the Joomla work I have.
Imagine my excitement when the google search brings a coffee cup result!
Quickly followed by disappointment when I find that it's just another coffee cup fan in my predicament. Please create a Joomla form extension.

Hear, hear!
Not sure if you guys are aware, but you "can" use scripts and html in Joomla quite easily and the CC Form Builder would most likely work pretty well in it. I can see no reason why it wouldn't, works fine with Wordpress too with a little finaggling. Give it a try and see. Just setup a page, or an article depending on the type of setup you have, and insert the code using the HTML tool and see what happens

I think I have done this Joanne, will sit down again this weekend and give it a try and report back here with sequence. Not sure if I had to change any code or not in the scripting.
Off topic here for a min, but is there any date set for release of CC SCPro? I have not been on here much lately as I have only been using the editor and form builder a lot and there is no problem with them. Using VirtueMart in Joomla and that is pretty full featured, but an overkill for some projects, so check back every so often to see if it is released yet. It seems to be taking longer to do the documentation and then what the development did.
Cheers
Jeff

Very Soon is all we have heard so far, but if possible could we not turn this thread (or others for that matter lol) into a "when will SCC Pro be released" thread?
I am using Joomla 1.6 and tried inserting the code using the HTML tool but when you click Save the code vanishes.

There is most likely an addon or mod of some type or a setting that you need to setup to be able to use external scripts. I don't know if it's still that way, but the internal editor of Joomla used to be pretty stupidly setup. We had to use an addon to allow us to use external scripts to make it stop stripping the code when we added it. At some point I believe they created a setting inside the Joomla settings to do this, but it's been a couple years since I've messed with Joomla so I am not sure where you'd find this anymore. Check around in your settings and see if there's something on it.
Using the text editor, insert the code wrapped withing a <div> and all will be well.
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!
Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
