How long do we have to wait for that? Anytime 'soon'?

I'm not exactly sure. We're working on the 3.9 release now so it won't be next week or anything like that. ;)

What type of built-in protection will be used to prevent theft?

Did a quick search & didn't see anything. Forgive me if it's already around or in the software...

You know sometimes (or quite often these days) when submitting something online there's a verification code distorted/hidden in an image you have to type in... is that something worth considering building into any of the CC software as an option where people have to submit something?

I think you're looking for a CAPTCHA system. The best one around (and the one we use on this site) is reCAPTCHA.

The cool thing about reCAPTCHA is that not only does it help with your website security, but it improves the process of digitizing books by sending words that cannot be read by computers to the Web in the form of CAPTCHAs for humans to decipher. More specifically, each word that cannot be read correctly by OCR is placed on an image and used as a CAPTCHA. This is possible because most OCR programs alert you when a word cannot be read correctly.

Hey J, any type of direct link download protection, or that sort of thing? That's what I meant.

Also, any word when Form Builder will use recaptcha? I read that was in the plans.

Ah. Yes, we have a few ideas we're testing on that and there will be some form of protection in place in the final release.

Curious if you guys plan on adding a "check for updates" or plan on having the programs to do that automatically when you open a CC application. Some users may be anoyed by the automatic option so maybe it could be a setting you select in preferences. I look forward to your response.

Kirk
