Ftp is so insecure! I am the hosting provider and I will not support clear text authentication for file transfers or any other purpose. Why not sFTP or SCP?

What exactly are you worried about happening in the less than one second it takes for the file to transfer?

hmmm, what is wrong with sftp, I use it with direct ftp, html editor and other CoffeeCup programs.
So far, my hosted clients and myself haven't had any issues..
