Just thought I'd add a little update here to anyone that might have a cPanel that has access to Softaculous. Our installation of cPanel includes this as it looks like it's migrating from Fantastico to this one. There's a whole lot more applications that seem to be included and one of them is called:

phpScheduleIt

This is reservation software that allows you to create calendars for reservations, bookings, etc.

You'll find it under the Calendars section of the Softaculous area of your cPanel.

At the moment I'm contemplating using a site called : http://www.supersaas.com It looks like it may be what I need.....for the moment.

I have used hotel reservation software to book reserve shared chat spaces for specific topics which then appear on a schedule. Ideally, once scheduled, then reservations could be made for the number of participants allowed. Some would be paid and some free, but this could be handled outside the software if necessary. Payment would unlock access to the reservations.

I set up something along these lines long ago but it took forever in human hours.

It would be important to me to manage everything securely outside of s-drive. Generally I won't use anything where I can't troubleshoot problems myself.
