That's a good 'nut', paintbrush. Thank you for the link.
Clear, simple coverage of positioning essentials.
AND it shows clearly how an absolute-positioned element can live quite happily in a responsive environment...

Thanks Per for pointing out the conditions that the absolute positioning can be responsive. I was just thinking about basic positioning when I posted as I was under the impression he was doing it the old way which isn't responsive.

Sorry it took so long to reply but I am in the process of moving and have no Internet at the moment and for a bit yet. Taking a breakfast break so checking some stuff on my phone lol.

Very good information PB! I'm learning a lot.. I think i'll be putting that static element to use on my new page!
Hopefully I can memorize it.. shouldn't be too hard, given the definitions are there for each element.
Thanks again PB :)

So absolute positioning will remove responsiveness? Ok, i'll use .. relative then?

I'm in school learning HTML from scratch, but we are just on link's ie,

<a href="index.html">home</a>

Didn't you have to turn in a responsive website 2 weeks ago for class Matt? Is this a different class?
