I am making the finishing touches to my new website, and almost left off the CC Logo! Can't do that! The site is a little minimalistic, but I will be adding as I go.

I probably told this story before, but when I first started in Web Design years ago, I used VSD, and other designers didn't take serious sooo when I did the last build, I purposely did it in VSD(it's called payback)...and has it ever done the job..and have def made some money from it.

Coffeecup will always be a part of my web design experience, and will never forget the folks here that helped me along the way. :)

Just felt like sayin' that!!!

Hi James I had a look at your site and it looks as good as any designed with any other tool.
VSD makes great sites and the code it creates is compact and does the job. I know not actually coding it is not the done way but in reality the smart way. Why do something simple and use VSD when you can make life really difficult. I have adopted a system of starting with VSD and if necessary then add stuff in the Editor.
I paint and my technique is different from the norm. I use a projector to achieve the right aspect and get elements in th right prospective. This I am told is not done. However if the dissenters would study history they would find some of the old masters used a camera obscura technique which was a kind of projector.
You will never win an argument with a purist they maintain the high ground always.
There is only one reason I use CC's tools They are the best.

Wow Prism, the whole projector thing is innovative, and CC does rock!

Barney moments are good sometimes compared to companies lacking social skills. I have experience running businesses for a lot of years, and growing a business is also about letting your vendors and associates know they made a difference. It's the whole inspirational team building - biz to biz development VS. depressed burnt out I'm in it for me and screw you desperation thing. :)

I have learnt a lot of tricks through the years from making a mock-up in VSD to see how various things are coded and how to achieve certain effects. Especially the layer thing had me stumped until I saw how it was done in VSD.

Inger, I now do the same thing. I do mock ups in VSD, and when with the client, I will actually create a wireframe model in VSD live. It really help to close the deal. I remember back in the day, you and Adam really helped Scott to makes things go on the forum.

Thanks for that! :) There were more of us though; Janys, Darce Jean, Mark, Jim, Kim, Fe - just to mention a few. We truly enjoyed it. Those were the days...

It was a fun time looking back. Everything was so fresh and new, and I was always trying to figure out if I could afford the new CC program. I also liked the old website! I have the new abcomputered site up now, but it's in minimal production. It's not in VSD, but still did some of the pages in Coffeecup.
