I have a couple of sites that I would appreciate constructive comments. :)

The first is done with HTML Editor, dhtml menu builder, web video player

http://cayucoslandconservancy.org

The second I used VSD

http://cayucosgardenclub.org

I do websites for non-profits as a volunteer activity not for pay but am looking to enhance my efforts
Thanks

Hiya cayucostom,

Love the sites both, I have only 2 suggestions.

1. for the island site: put your form on a site page that goes with your site theme rather than having it open on a new page that has no navigation nor anything that looks like it belongs to your site. Just makes things look much smoother when you're navigating.

2. Both sites have galleries on them while looking really cool in the effects of the zooming, the quality is really poor on the pictures for the garden site, really poor, and slightly poor on the island site but can get away with it. Not sure what you used for it, but it looks like the pictures were stretched to fit rather than the gallery sized to fit the images. If they are too small you may want to consider larger images to accommodate the area of the gallery.

Other than that they look great :)

The sites look great in most parts. However have to agree with Jo Ann on this that I think the pics on the first site you can easily get away with but the gift shop needs a menu/navigation.

The second site is expertly done but again Jo Ann is right about the pictures section.

These things can be put right easily enough.
I personally never use flash, in my opinion only very few people can get away with it.

Your comment about flash is absolutely correct. Thanks for mentioning it.

Yeah I am correct Eric LOL. No no it's just my view I think that too many people use it willy nilly and it just looks crass.
I do like the look of your "http://www.innovatewebdevelopment.com" site. I haven't gone through the code but I would imagine it was done in CSS and it looks top draw.

Much appreciated. I typically do use quite a bit of CSS, but in this project I did not use as much as I usually do, since it is so graphic heavy. I find, that for those sites that absolutely have to be compliant I use less CSS so that positioning is not as much a problem
