Sorry to bother you guys with this, but is this normal for Chrome to be launched this many times in my start task manager? I can't seem to fix it!!

Apparently, yes. I looked at mine and there was no Chrome processes. As soon as I launched Chrome I got the same list you displayed. Hmmm ... :P

I get two instances.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Well, I got about 12 like Matt, and they aren't all the same if you look at the sizes. I'm not sure what it is doing, but as soon as I close Chrome they all stop. Using Win7 64bit.

Yeah i'm not too sure about this either, I think that it's the app's running with chrome, if so I need to get rid of some because my browser is running very slow :(

Hrmm.. who to believe and who not to believe on that Forum, Eric my friend.. it is been said Google Chrome is the way to go, I mean my browser is still fast, but I don't even have multiple tabs running on my PC.
On a much different note of browsers..
Eric I thought you might dig this..

I use Chrome once and while. I only stick with FX because I'm comfy with it.

Yeah same here, Chrome is ok but lacks a lot of little addons that firefox has available or the devs of the addons "try" to mimic them and fail horribly. I will check when I get home Matt and see how many processes run on my home computer with Chrome as I am away till this evening and on my ipad. :)

That sounds good Jo Ann, I used to use FX a lot but thought Chrome would be faster.. honestly I don't see much of a difference except for how many processes start to run just to back up one tab. But anyhow , let me know if you find anything else on this, b/c I might just switch back to FX.
