I saw this mentioned in another post. When will the new policy be released. Does this affect purchases before the updated policy?

Thanks

This policy is already in place right now. You can view our updated policies here at http://www.coffeecup.com/legal/eula

So before anyone totally freaks out, read it carefully. ;)

UPGRADE POLICY: In over 15 years of making amazing Web Design and other software products, CoffeeCup has in general, delivered improved versions of the software free of charge. We will continue to do so, especially when a new version mainly consists of minor improvements and fixes. However, from time to time there will be new versions that require rewrites of the application or parts of the application. This process requires significant research, design, development and testing time. In those situations and on a case by case basis, CoffeeCup reserves the right to require a fee for upgrading to the new and improved version of the software. Given the resources it would take, we would hate to withhold implementing these improvements purely based on financial decisions; charging a nominal fee for updates is the only way to accomplish this. If you don’t feel new functionality is worth the upgrade you can always stay with your current version. If you feel you always want to use the latest and greatest and want to have access to exclusive Responsive Web Design Apps, you should join The Responsive Program (coming soon). Either way, the choice is entirely yours!

We highly recommend subscribing to our newsletter to be informed about both minor and major updates to your applications. Also this is usually the best way to get a ‘good deal’ on both new software and new functionality releases.
Learn the essentials with these quick tips for Responsive Site Designer, Responsive Email Designer, Foundation Framer, and the new Bootstrap Builder. You'll be making awesome, code-free responsive websites and newsletters like a boss.

I was surprised you were doing this for free from the get go. I was wondering more about the subscription fees and the structure. I would assume upgrades would be less than a new version.

I would rather pay for some upgrade and have better developed products than not and not. :)

O.K., you got me to take the bait. I will be looking forward to when you can tell us more about the Responsive Program, and the price.
