Problems downloading updates - Post...
Hi,
I started a support ticket on this issue but thought I'd post the problem here and see if I can get any other opinions on what might be wrong.
Problem: Trying to update my package of software (full suite of products) after not logging in for about six months, I find that the updates to all my programs are unavailable. If I try to download the new versions an HTML document downloads which prompts me to login. I login, am accepted, and no updates are available even though I've checked version numbers and many of the products are later versions than the ones I am running.
I've deleted the coffee cup cookies and loaded them again and know they are not blocked. I've checked blocking lists for the spyware and antivirus programs I run and the only thing I found that might apply was an exception for a Coffee Cup gif with tracking abilities (I enabled that). I've tried with and without my antivirus (AVG) running and I've disabled Tea Timer and Bad Download blocker on Spybot S&D. I've tried with Windows Firewall, and with ZoneAlarm. Still no go.
Since I do all sorts of downloads on other sites with all these safety features up and running, I don't think the security software is the issue here.
I've gone to my account, confirmed the information there and put in an address as requested and updated the account. Still can't get my downloads.
Support tells me I can get my programs on CD for just $9.00. When I bought this software package there was no mention of a $9.00 fee for upgrades. I'm supposed to have support for life.
So, my system works with everything but Coffee Cup. What do I do to fix this?

Is it possible that you have more than one email address registered on this site? Typically, the problem ends up being that email address used in logging in at this moment isn't the one that was used when purchasing the software. You do indeed get free updates and are not required to pay for a CD, but hopefully support can help get you squared away on the appropriate login/account settings.
Hi, Adam,
No, just the one email address. I tried the only other one that was in use when I got the software and it doesn't work. Also tried logging in from an entirely different computer, so I'm sure the problem isn't with my system.
I did acquire the software when I purchased a website package from Lunar Pages, but the software was full featured and I was able to download upgrades far past the usual expiration date of Coffee Cup demos. I assume I paid the bill somehow--neither Lunar Pages nor Coffee Cup gives away product so there was some deal between them at the time. At this point I just want a solid answer--a copy of the contract that explains why I'm being shut out would be enough.

The issue was fixed. He was blocking cookies in his browser by accident. Once he turned that back on, everything worked.

So where do I download my updates on the new website?????????
Hiya Robert,
You can get your downloads by going to the menu up top and choosing the little orange down arrow to the right of your name on the right side of the menu. There is a Downloads choice there that will take you to your personal downloads

I have not been on my computer, in fact, my old computer has been replaced, but like James, I log in, get no option to re-download the html editor, which I got some years back. Not sure what the problem is, but would like to know how I can fix it?

The reason I couldn't do the downloads was that I hadn't enabled third party cookies, if I remember this correctly. Checked in Firefox just now and could not find how to do that, everything is changed since I had the problem. Now, heehee, I must investigate and see if I can update any of my programs.

My updates are available, though I don't know why. Maybe Firefox isn't as anal about cookies now. But I found the downloads through Community/Support/My Purchases. Even though that doesn't really make any sense.
