Hey guy's, i'm setting up a new message board, and it's punBB. You have the ability to edit the CSS into whatever color's you want, but I can't understand the language. I am requesting some help on this one cause I don't want to ruin anything either. If you can help let me know and i'll send you the style file and we can work through it together, cause I want to learn ;) Thanks guys!

I can understand what the code output is. I don't know what area's it effects, the code is one big block instead of split up. I just want to put a header backround, and change the colors. Is there a way to overide the .css file to create my own coding to alter the css? I'm attaching the file so you guys can see..

I guess you changed the name from theme.css to theme.txt?

That file has been 'optimised' for faster loading, and that means taking out all the spaces and make it just a block. Finding something there is even worse than trying to disentangle a VSD site! :o

I don't know the particular forum software, but isn't there some admin log-in where you have options and can change the look of the forum? Or does the forum softweare have a user forum where you can ask about this?
Ha en riktig god dag!

There are some people who were able to create their own themes. I'm waiting on some support from another guy but he's from Australia and is sleeping now. I just figured since it was CSS there was someone on this board that could help me with that. But i'll stick with the pre-made themes then.

I would find a theme that fits your needs Matt. I really think you need to get a better grasp on CSS before you dive in and alter a complicated source like that. This way you won't be wasting time altering thing and end up resetting it back to the beginning. Matt I think you should grab some of the built in themes in the html editor and alter those for practice. You never know you might make a site that you like.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Have you looked at the themes here?...

I've had a bit of experience with a Forumotion forum and it was easy to change colors, add graphics, etc. from within the control panel. No need to dig into the actual code.

Thanks guy's, I just finished adding some extensions to punBB but for some reason the theme's i'm installing are just not working. I don't know if there is a way to import or just upload to style folder like I was told. It doesn't work.. and youtube has outdated videos that doesn't lead up to 1.4.x, so I guess it's back to the forums I go!:D

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
