Software offers and bundles - Post ID...
Is it just me or do others feel the same?
Software offers come up on a regular basis but the more we support coffee cup in buying the apps the less likely it is for us to benefit from the offers.
For an example I looked at the Total pro pack as I purchased the shopping cart creator and did not realise I really wanted the pro version at the time.
I missed the $99 propack as I did not have the cash at the time it was on offer and now its back at $249 I already have many of the apps in the pro pack already.
I then looked at the e commerce pro pack at $229 but once again I already have web image studio.
Is there anyway regular customers can benefit from some offers.?
Perhaps you could offer some of the really good offers to existing customers of certain products only.
For example the $99 propack offer to a customer who has already purchased the
The HTML Editor
Visual Site Designer
Web Form Builder
Shopping Cart Creator
Web Image Studio
would only mean you giving them
Direct FTP
Shopping Cart Creator Pro (Dont forget they already have Shopping Cart Creator)
Shopping Cart Designer Pro
Dont forget if they purchased the ecommerce pack they would only end up with
Website Color Schemer (extra)
as they already have Web Image Studio
where as someone who has never supported coffee cup in the past just got the lot for $99 if they were lucky to be in the right place at the right time.
Does anyone else see where I am coming from?

Just means you need to take advantage of the sales when they run them. All companies do things this way, it's not a CoffeeCup exclusive and they usually run the sales for quite a while and multiple times a year so the best thing to do is sit back and wait for the next sale on what you need. In most cases even if you have all the software but one item in a package on sale, (for the expensive ones that is) it's usually still much cheaper than buying that one piece of software separately.
Also, just to be clear, the Website Color Schemer and the Web Image Studio are nothing alike so I'm not sure if you're making a comparison as to you already have one of them so why would you need the other? If you meant something else sorry. Anyways the Color Schemer is a color program to help with finding colors, matching colors, getting color numbers, setting up color schemes for an entire site, etc. Not the same as the Web Image Studio which deals with images.
One other thing too. Whether you have the Basic versions or not is irrelevant at the time of sales as the Pro versions are much more expensive and there's really no comparison to the 2 versions as the Pro versions have a whole lot more features than the Basic ones so the (Don't forget they already have the Shopping Cart Creator) message is pretty moot there.
Anyways, best thing you can do is either buy it, or hold off to the next sale that fancies your checkbook

Jo Ann could have not said it better. We send out offers all the time, but if you don't take advantage of them when we do, then you are going to loose out. Remember, we are a business after all and if we don't bring in revenue, how are we supposed to continue to make new things. I know some would love it if we make a brand new program and offer it to you for $1.99, but that isn't quite practical.

I know Jo did not understand what i was saying but you seem to have also missed the point Scott.
. I was not making comparisons between colour schemer and web imagestudio. I was trying to say Even if I purchased the e commerce package to make it more affordable I already have web image studio and dont benefit from the package and those who have not supported CC with buying previous softwares can simply come along and get them all in one go .I was simply asking where is the incentive for existing customers when the packages already include software we have already purchased.
To make an analogy of saying some would love a brand new program for 1.99 is total misrepresenting what I was asking.
I know you send out offers all the time but things are rather tight just now in the real world and finding $150 dollars at the drop of a hat is not something many can do over night.
I realise there is not a hope in hell of you running the $99 total propack again and in all honesty thats the only way I would make any saving having already purchased
The HTML Editor (a $69 value)
Visual Site Designer Visual Site Designer (a $29 value)
Web Form Builder Web Form Builder (a $69 value)
Web Image Studio Web Image Studio (a $39 value)
These three are the only ones I dont have but I HAVE actually purchased Shopping Cart Creator (a $49 value) and then realised its useless for what I need without Shopping Cart Designer Pro (as I cant see a Shopping Cart Designer.
Shopping Cart Creator Pro Shopping Cart Creator Pro (a $129 value)
Shopping Cart Designer Pro Shopping Cart Designer Pro (a $89 value)
Direct FTP Direct FTP (a $39 value)
I dont need Direct FTP as I already have FTP client. So even buying the ecommerce pack would not be cost effective. It would be cheaper buying Shopping Cart Creator Pro (a $129 value)
Shopping Cart Designer Pro Shopping Cart Designer Pro (a $89 value) at $218 total.
I was merely asking other EXISTING users if THEY felt like they were able to take advantage of the offers you make available and if the packs were of any benefit to them as existing users of many CC softwares.
I realise its a business but unless you are made aware of how customers feel (and to be honest I feel like you dont care unless I am a new user ) how do you know how to encourage existing users to part with more cash when a lot of us already have a lot of your software anyway.
I most certainly did not ask for a new program for $1.99 merely asking if a reasonable discount for loyalty might be a possibility??

I dont think you quite read my post Jo Ann.

I appreciate your feedback Andy, but what you are asking for, we already do offer. Even though you may get an additional program in one of our specials, the price savings is worth it. That is in the incentive! Just ignore that you are getting an additional license and focus only on the value. When we do offer specials at a highly discounted rate, you need to take advantage of them instantly as we cannot run such highly discounted specials forever. The Total Pro pack at $99 was a good example. When you see something that good, you need to snap it up. Each weekend we send out an email with one special or another.
All of our software is already extremely reasonably priced with the average program costing no more then $50. If we make things any cheaper then that, it would not work out for us as a business. Without revenue, how is a company supposed to succeed? So while I understand you would love to get a very low priced package, we also need to pay for the research, development, support and upgrades as well.
Thanks again for your feedback. Now go buy something.

I think thats what you dont understand . there is no price saving for me as I already have a lot of your programs. Its not as if I could add an alternative to the same value.

Why do you mention I want programs cheaper than $50. This is NOT what I am asking for or highlighting.
Without revenue, how is a company supposed to succeed?
In your case by word of mouth. I am not asking NOT to give you revenue but asking to be rewarded as a regular customer.
So while I understand you would love to get a very low priced package, we also need to pay for the research, development, support and upgrades as well.
Again I have not asked for a VERY low priced package just some understanding of rewarding your regular (existing customers)
Thanks again for your feedback. Now go buy something.

Stunned at such a patronising comment. So thanks for your reply but no thanks I will research alternatives and research, development, support and upgrades will have to be paid for by some other mug. Think of it like this. You dont have the facility to offer established customers a discount so you have not actually gained anything but lost $150 plus that you could of had. great business that.

I am not P$%^&* that you have not offered a discount but that you dont seem to understand about rewarding existing customers who will use word of mouth to sell more of your products for you. Ce la Vie
Can we get off the pity pot now please? Really this is getting stupid and I can't believe that with totally free upgrades for life of the program, pretty damn close to total customer service between the ticket system and all the help the forums give (compare that to the companies you plan to "research" too while your at it, that you're still complaining about not getting the perfect deal for loyal customers. you've purchased a few programs and expect CC to bend over backwards to accommodate those few programs. Not a lot... a few... I've purchased them all... sure I have a hard time finding deals for me too, but sheesh I don't whine all over the forums for it.
Your situation is the norm, and mine is the other half. You've got a lot better chance at getting a good deal than anyone that's purchased the whole nine yards Big Cup or whatever it may be called now so give it a rest and either wait for the deal, find one that suits you best or make good on your threat and move on elsewhere.
This is a business, CC needs to make money via their sales since they don't do it like most companies do and charge us for updates every year. Those companies can afford to make better deals, but they don't accommodate you either, ever, so I surely don't know why you would expect it to be here. Sales are the revenue, specials are the revenue. Instead of complaining that there's programs included that you already have, take the deal and be glad they do make such great deals with multiple software packages. Not many companies do that either.
