Am I slow to learn. I purchased Sams "Learn PHP in 10 mins" it took 3 months. I just started a book on Javascript Sams "Learn Javascript in 24 hours"a bit more realistic a bit that is. I finally finished the first hour and it took 8.
A t least I can write "Hello World" on the page, That is the easy part and I thought I could program. Just goes to show one man's meat is another man's poison. Yeah I know that is not the saying but it fits.

My goal, dynamic control of css attributes. I will get the browser to cry uncle yet. I doubt if anyone will be interested in this but it will be an interesting project. I have played with a responsive grid but not impressed. There is the possibility of having the page of content some hidden some not, some here some there. I think these bits can be made to wander around and reposition and resize themselves to suit a display. Even swap with other material.
So I need to learn to program in Javascript to create the necessary functions and handshake with php to do it. I promise no animals will be harmed, although my little dog better watch it.

You are right Eric. It is the Javascript, its addling my brain. I have been going through controlling objects using Javascript even to creating stuff but for some things it needs assistance, Javascript is a client based language and online it is in the realm of php etc.

I am thinking of serving up content depending on instructions and conditions. This will be a fair bit more involved than getting a browser to jump through loops. A normal program does just that it responds based on a set of instructions as do we in actual fact.

I shall give you first refusal once I get to a working state. A lot is already done and available it is just a matter of assembling it in a logical way.

The pecking order in our house is Wife first Dog second and I think I come in just before the goldfish.

By the way I have created the page for our Events Coordinator and shall teach her how to upload her information. that is a Monthly task, presently it goes in the Newsletter.
