Switching Between Code Editor tab and...

I am creating a new HTML file in an existing website for the first time. I used the Quick Start feature to establish the basic HTML file and saved it.

I have established a background file and added some text for testing. When I click on the Preview tab, I get a blank page. When I test the code in my default browser it displays perfectly.

Using the Preview tab is much faster, but where do I look to fix this. The Preview tab works fine for other HTML files in this website.

Forget it. Something broke loose and it started working.

hi - I'm super new to editing - and loved the preview tab I saw on someone else's screen. Mine does not have this that I can find. I purchased about 2 months ago, so I'm trusting I have the latest version of CC.

I see the split-screen option under View, but that shows at the bottom of the screen and requires scrolling.

Advise, please??? Thank you.

Hiya Gretchen,

What you're seeing here is an over 3 year old post that you're replying on. This means that you're on the newer version that doesn't have that tab anymore. You do have the preview system, much better than the old one, just isn't on a tab like it used to be. Hit F11 or F12 and you'll see the setup for either a split screen preview or an external preview that will be a separate window. Hope that helps and hope you're enjoying the your new editor :)

If you have seen a preview TAB, you have been looking at an older version of the html Editor. Now you click the icon I have marked (see attachment) in order to preview a page within the Editor. The green globe to the right of it lets you preview in your browser(s).
