I installed the trial download, but it comes up with a message "Error! You do not have any skins installed. Please reinstall this application".
By "Skins" does it mean themes? I only have the sample themes that come in the trial.
I'm running Win 7 Ultimate. It works for a while (first launch after install, then it comes up with a "you must restart..." box so when the system restarts and Windows boots up again, the application will not launch again.
I've tried reinstalling, uninstalling, repairing etc. Nothing will make this launch properly - I've even tried it in compatibility Mode WinXP to no avail.

Hi Andrew
It sounds like you were installing and possibly uninstalling the software while a copy was running. That is why you were getting the "you must restart" error. This is what I would suggest you do.
1. Reboot. This will make sure everything is closed
2. Uninstall Web Calendar
3. Go to C:\Program Files\CoffeeCup Software and delete the folder "Web Calendar"
4. Go to C:\Users[name]\Documents\CoffeeCup Software and delete the folder "Web Calendar"
5. Go to C:\Users[name]\AppData\Roaming\CoffeeCup Software and delete the folder "CoffeeCup Web Calendar"
6. Empty your trash
7. Reboot
Now re-install the latest version from our website (5.0 Build 9) and you should be back up and running.

Thanks for the tips, however, the same problem occurs; Web Calendar installs successfully, and when the installation has completed, launches the first time.
I tried putting in a test event in a date, it displays the preview, and displays the exported page of the calendar just fine, however when I close Web Calendar and try to relaunch it, - the error returns: "Error! You do not have any skins installed. Please reinstall this application".
I didn't change the theme from the default. Not sure what it means by "skins" in this context.
I re-downloaded and installed the version as linked here: http://www.coffeecup.com/web-calendar/

That is so strange. I have no idea where that error is coming from either. We don't use skins. Give our office a call tomorrow at 678-495-3480 and schedule a phone support call with one of our techs. I would like to remotely connect to your computer and see what is going on here.
We open tomorrow at 9am EST.

Thanks for the reply.
I'm in Australia, so calling to coincide with your business hours is probably out of the question - tomorrow (Saturday) Australian WST would still be Friday afternoon US time). My time zone is Australian WST +8:00 GMT and approx. +15:00 US Pacific time)
I ran the Windows troubleshooter and it reports that Web Calendar is (apparently) not (fully) compatible with Win 7. I think I have it running in Win XP SP3 mode or something (have to double check)
I've found a work around, that is to run Web Calendar "Run as Admin" which seems to allow it to run without any further issues.
Strange one though, the error message has nothing to do with the actual problem.
Thanks again.

That is even stranger about Windows 7 having to Run as Administrator. I use that as my primary operating system here and I can 100% say it is Windows 7 compatible.
At least you have a work around now.

These 'Ultimate' versions of various Windows distributions seem to be quite troublesome. Wasn't it someone who had all sorts of issues with Vista Ultimate as well, issues that noone else had?
Ha en riktig god dag!

I just upgraded web-calendar ver. dated 8 Nov from a ver 4 and I get the same error. "Error! You do not have any skins installed. Please reinstall this application". I uninstall and deleted the folders without success. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate.

Does running the program as an Administrator fix this issue?

Running the program as Administrator results in the same error.
