Is there any way to add PayPal buttons to calendar events? I have a client who teaches different classes on different days and would like to allow people to register-pay online using the calendar.

Thanks

In the event fields for the calendar you can insert pictures and links, so why not try it out?

Honestly, I have no idea whether it will work or not, I never use Paypal. But if you know what code to insert, you could try :)

You would need to start with setting up a PayPal account. Will there be a different PayPal account for each class or just a single account?

Once you have the account, you can get the button and HTML from PayPal, and place it in every block as needed, just like any other HTML.

If there is just a single PayPal account, why not put the PayPal button beside the calendar? That will allow you to use a single instance of the code (faster loading) and you can use a bigger PayPal button.

I have just created my first page with a PayPal button, but I did not put the button in a calendar, so my remarks may be off track.

Hope this is helpful.

I haven't tried the calendar yet so I will have to :)

I will post what I find out. Thanks so much.

I tried adding the button code but without a successful result. If CoffeeCup could make the Calendar to allow the input of HTML besides just a link this would be a must have for my toolbox.

I'm going to be trying the same approach with our class schedules at http://www.bluefroggallery.comaugust.html

In out case the calendar will contain a link to the class (or product) page where I've added the paypal buttons.

This current approach requires separate paypal buttons for every class or else you won't know what class a person has paid for. I'm hoping to use the Shopping Cart Creator to simplify this chore before launching over to paypal.

So it looks like 2.5 years has gone by...anyone have a good solution for having Web Calendar be used as an "Paid Event" tool?

I don't recall anywhere anything saying this was going to be a feature even. You might want to consider waiting on the Form Builder which is planning to add payment options to it. Unless someone with some good PHP has some ideas on the calendar, I wouldn't expect something like that to be added to it.

I haven't tried this but looks as if it would work just fine. The button outside the calendar is surely doable.
