I built a simple contact form using WFB following the instructions in this video to include in a website built with Site Designer: https://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles … -designer/

Problem #1: I included a captcha element in the form and it displays correctly in preview. But when I publish the form to SDrive and view it the captcha element does not display. If I fill out the form and submit, I get an error saying I did not pass the captcha test. So, the captcha element seems to be working but not displaying. A picture of the form and error is attached. What did I do wrong?

Problem #2: If I select the captcha element in my form and try to delete it, the element remains. I tried cut as well but its still there. Must I rebuild the form?

In webform builder you select the catcha element
Then go to the tab
There you will see 3 choices
None
Automatic
Manual

To remove the recapcha select none.

How does it need to be intuitive 3 choices seems to me to be intuitive
1 none = no captcha
automatic = hosted on CC Sdrive
manual = hosted on your domain server,
where you then need enter the site and secret keys you get from Google captcha.

The error message indicates that you haven't entered the site keys or the secret keys from Google correctly .

Not displaying on your domain, probably means you have chosen the setting with google (Invisible re-captcha (V3)

You should really have chosen an earlier version of Captcha (V2) WFB doesn't work with V3 yet, which could also be the reason for the error message if you in-fact did enter the secret and site keys that Google gave for V3

All of the other elements on the form are removed by selecting them then choosing delete. Intuitive (to me) behavior for the captcha element would follow that same pattern.

I am hosting on SDrive so the version and site keys advice does not apply.

Did you publish the form to your SDrive or did you export the form using the "Automatic Form Processing" option

If you published it to your SDrive, but it is hosted on a different domain, then did you set-up Dynamic DNS on the Name-Cheap hosting service for the website?

If you did the 'Automatic Export" option, then it would appear that not all of the files were exported correctly, due to the HTML code NOT having the Recaptcha configuration present. I can't easily tell because there are so many other errors on that page (not just with the form) and indeed the whole website, I don't have the time available sort the wheat from the chaff" so to speak.

If you published the form directly to your Sdrive account then once that’s been done and the window displays the instructions there is a link that takes you to "The CC articles page that has the necessary Dynamic Name Server (See Image)thingy that you need paste into the CPanel for your domain name, (Scroll to the section "DOMAINS" then open the tab "Dynamic DNS" and fill out the necessary fields.
