Crazy ascii characters in manual...
When exporting manually to a server, the code is displaying ascii characters for a number of special characters such as "<", ">", "</a>"....
I've updated to 2.9... is this a bug? Is there a way to fix this?

Hi Terry what exactly is the error your getting. Those characters should not stop the webform from working. Also do you have a link to where the form is live now?

Is the server software set up with UTF-8?

The server is set up fine... hasn't changed...
But what I noticed is when I do the manual export, the code that I'm supposed to copy and place within a webpage has the issue...
I'm using catalina for mac... is that perhaps the issue?

Well maybe I'm the cause...
it's working now and I gave it a day of rest...
maybe something cached? Who knows... thanks for your help though

Glad you got it figured out. Cache will be the bane of my existence!
