I know there's got to be a simple solution to what I'm experiencing so here goes. Whenever results from form are e-mailed to me the "From" portion looks like this:

<table><tr><td>Name:</td><td>thom testing</td></tr><tr><td>E-Mail Address:</td><td>thomflora@gmail.com</td></tr><tr><td>Submitted On:</td><td>2011-12-24 15:17:26</td></tr><tr><td>IP Address:</td><td>174.49.47.95</td></tr></table>

What setting do I modify to keep this from happening?

Form itself resides here: http://vaguenewworld.coffeecup.com/forms/CONTACTform/

Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas to all.

What e-mail client are you using? I pasted your code into the html editor and it displayed correctly.:)

It's not that I think the code is wrong, it's that I don't really want ANY code to appear as the name of the person "From" whom the e-mail came.

So you don't want to know who it's from?
In the form builder:
Click on Settings.
Click on Email Notices tab.
Uncheck the Notification message box.

I think he wants the "from" to show – just without all the html tags.

I tested out myself and I don't get that.

Do you have another email account? If you do, maybe modify your form to send to that and test it. See if it is doing the same thing.

Maybe your email program has some little option to show the html code? Very strange. I can see by the code it sent with your email that it would produce the same look as I get in my email test to my email address.

If Eric's suggestion works can you please let us know. If that's not it, maybe you can activate the Auto-response message and have it go to the email field that you are using in your form. Then post back in here that you did that and we can try your form out and see if we get the tags too or not.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
