Invalid email error - Post ID 180752
Hello,
I've used Form Builder to build a few forms and they all worked fine until the recent update.
Now, whenever I try to enter my email address (or any email address), I get an error message. Please see attached image.
What am I overlooking that worked previously?
Thanks

That error is very specific to the problem. Look at what you typed under the Auto-response message. Last I knew, VILLAGE VOUCHER - Cheshire is not a valid email address.

Mark,
You are right with [email4] in the To field but the From field above it must show your email address (correctly formatted) - then, when the form is submitted, the auto response email will appear in their inbox with your email address as the sender.

Thanks folks. yes - that cured it. Not even sure where that came from because it's for a completely different site!
Another question though.
If I subsequently want to make changes to the form - i.e. add a CAPTCHA to it, do I delete all the code I pasted in initially or leave that exactly as it is on the page where I want the code to feature?
And, with the resulting newly generated php file and connected folder, do I delete / overwrite what exists?
Thanks

Hi again Mark,
Speaking for myself, depending on what alterations I have carried out, I do delete the code in the page, I overwrite the php file only if its modified date/time has altered and occasionally I delete the folder but normally, simply overwrite it.
PS. Again, speaking for myself, I tend to close any tabs in my browser that are showing my form and delete the browser history just to make quite sure that I am viewing the latest amended version of the form/page.
Others may disagree but it works for me
